| Tanner & Tilley Town Planning Ltd based in Southbourne redesigned their website in 2009 and chose a content managed site built using WordPress. A feature of the site is the NEWS section which divides the posts into categories to suit their customers, such as Care, Retirement, General Planning etc. There is also a special effect on the About Us page which shows black and white photos which become colour as you roll the mouse across them. www.tanner-tilley.co.uk | Grove Services (UK) Ltd, based in London, offer occupational health and safety services. Their website was in need of a new look and easier navigation to structure the wealth of informaiton stored on the site. This content managed system built using WordPress uses search funtionality, TAGS and clear navigation to help customers find the relevant information. www.groveservices.co.uk | |

| Home Comforts Interiors, based in New Milton, offer a complete bespoke design and manufacture service of high quality traditional and modern built-in furniture across the New Forest, Christchurch and Bournemouth. Their website launched in the summer of 2009. There are some great photos which make the site very appealing. On the home page the photos are displayed as a slideshow and within the photo galleries they can be viewed close up using a "lightbox". This site was built using WordPress which provides the client with a content managed system so he can update the content of the site and add new photos to the gallery keeping the maintenance costs of the website manageable. Have a look www.homecomfortsinteriors.co.uk | I worked as part of a team to develop a content managed website for the school PTA. This site allows many users to update the content, according to the security level assigned to their login id. Users can add new pages which are automatically added to the menu. If this is a solution for your business or organisation, it can be achieved at a very reasonable cost. This site was built using DotNetNuke. |
All websites should be regularly updated. Customers like to see fresh content and search engines give higher priority to sites that have been recently updated.
If you have a content managed system it is easy to log in and add new posts or change the existing pages of your website.
If you have a brochure website you can pay a web designer to update the site for you. I charge £25 per hour for website maintenance. If you are concerned as to how much this would add up to - just ask. I can always discuss your options and fix a price to fit your budget.
The real benefits however are less obvious.
